Coconut oil was supported by news that the copra harvest in the Philippines was going to be delayed, which left traders focussing on a possible supply tightness in the next few weeks. During the afternoon, coconut oil sold for $750 and $747.50 on Sep/Oct, while Dec/Jan-Jan/Feb fetched $727.50. Soy and rape oil continued to reflect falling values on the Chicago soybean oil futures, ending the day 0.25 to one guilder lower. One trade was reported for soy oil at 92.50 on Nov/Jan. The palm oil sector was tradless during the afternoon session and closed out the day around $2.50 to $5 below Thursday's finish.
