Activity was generally subdued throughout the session, as the market took a breather one day after prices sank to their lowest intraday levels in a month. The trade was once again a good buyer of the nearby switch, dealers said, narrowing the October-March to 0.52 cents from 0.55 on Monday. Otherwise, funds continued to relinquish long positions on March, dragging the contract down 0.06 cent a lb to close at 11.81 cents. "The funds have been liquidating October and rolling out all along. That's why you're getting fund liquidation in March instead of October at this point," said one trader. Spot October eased 0.03 cent, to 11.29, while the rest of the board fell between 0.01 and 0.03 cent a lb. Traders said the technical outlook for the sugar market was little changed, with 11.72-11.71 and 11.60 seen as good support levels basis Marc.
