Many New York dealers have opted out of the market to entertain foreign colleagues, who are in town for the annual Sugar Week. The activities, which include a formal dinner on Wednesday, generally keep trade thin and prices rangebound, throughout the week, market sources said. The July contract closed off 0.01 cent at 10.96 cents per lb after trading from 11.01 to 10.94 cents. The outer contracts settled 0.01 higher to 0.03 lower. An estimated 5,668 lots changed hands on the day against 8,830 lots on Friday. Technically, July should find support at 10.92 cents, while 11.11 was pegged as an upside target. 200946 MET may 97
