A firmer start to the Chicago soybean oil futures added further weight to the bullish sentiment. The palm oil sector ended unchanged to $25 above Thursday's close, with Mar crude palm oil attracting the biggest gain. Trade however was light, with just Mar palm olein at $637.50, the only trade of the afternoon session. Despite a firmer beginning on the Chicago soybean oil futures, the soft oils in Europe slipped off their highs, as sellers were forced down a little in order to attract the buyers. At the close the soft oils were one to $2.50 up on Thursday's close. Soy oil traded Feb at 129 guilder, Mar at 129.25 and Apr at 127, while rape oil changed hands for 129.00 guilders for Feb, 121.25/121.50 Aug/Oct and 122 for Nov/Jan.
