They also said the Croatian-Israeli talks represented the continuation of the positive development in the overall relations between the two states. Over the past year, Croatia's ministers of foreign affairs, defence, immigration, social care, and other high state officials visited Israel. At the same time, representatives of the Israeli Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, as well as representatives of other government organisations visited Croatia. The two countries have signed four important agreements, including the one on military and technological cooperation, and are conducting intensive negotiations on several agreements from the fields of economy, culture etc. Croatian and Israeli universities, academies of science, chambers of commerce, and other institutions have established cooperation. Although trade between Croatia and Israel is currently modest, the two countries expect to intensify it by establishing cooperation in production, technology and investment. The interest of Israeli tourists in Croatia has been constantly on the rise. This morning, the Croatian Deputy Foreign Minister visited the Yad Vashem Memorial Centre, where he laid a wreath in memory of the victims of the Holocaust and signed in the memorial book.
