In Q3, GDP contracted 3.3% on the year.
In its autumn predictions, the European Commission announced that Slovenia's GDP decline in 2012 would be 2.3% on the year, while the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development predicted a decline of 2.4%.
Slovenia's Chamber of Commerce has predicted a GDP decline of 2.5%, while the government's office for macroeconomic analyses predicts a decline of 2% this year, 1.4% in 2013, a "modest" recovery only in 2014, and a decline in unemployment only in 2015.
According to the latest figures by the national employment service, Slovenia has 114,000 jobless and their number is expected to grow to 117,000 next year.
