The prison informed the presiding judge in the trial, Ivan Calic, that Sanader was not well and that he was incapable of attending today's main hearing.
His medical history was delivered to the Zagreb County Court and proceedings adjourned until tomorrow, when more will be known about Sanader's condition and if he will be fit to stand the rest of the trial.
His counsel said he had not complained about any pain and that they did not know what it was about.
