The five-day event is aimed at creating a network of protected areas by linking all parks in the region. It was organised by the World Wide Fund for Nature, with support from the Norwegian Foreign Ministry and the Mava Foundation.

(Hina) - The first international conference on
the parks of the Dinaric Arc was opened in Banja Luka on Monday,
bringing together more than 150 representatives of protected areas and
nature protection institutions from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and
Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania.
