BELGRADE, Nov 18
(Hina) - A former colonel in the Yugoslav People's
Army (JNA) Veselin Sljivancanin convicted of war crimes by the
International Criminal Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) committed
in Vukovar, welcomed the release of Croatian generals Ante Gotovina
and Mladen Markac, whom the Croats consider to be heroes, the Sunday
Belgrade tabloid "Alo" reported.
