(Hina) - According to proposed amendments to the Law
on Local and Regional Self-Government which the government sent into
parliamentary procedure on Wednesday, in future, should a budget for
the local/regional government unit not be adopted, elections would
need to be organised for all executive functions (municipal and town
mayors, county prefects) and not just representatives to government
bodies (council, assembly, county).
