Speaking to the press afterwards, Bernardic said tourism and high technology were developed in Haidian District, which he added was "China's silicon valley" with 13,000 high technology companies employing half a million people.
He said everything would be done to bring Chinese investors in high technology to Zagreb, which plans to build a Nikola Tesla High Technology Centre, one of the biggest and best such centres in Southeast Europe.
Bernardic said the Chinese side was willing to cooperate and that a visit by a Zagreb delegation to Beijing and China had been agreed.
Zhihui said Haidian District and Zagreb had been cooperating for 20 years and that there was room for cooperation between Chinese and Croatian companies. "I'm certain that Chinese entrepreneurs will come here and open their high technology companies," he added.
