HRK 15 bln set aside for PPP projects

ZAGREB, Sept 19 (Hina) - The Croatian government has earmarked HRK 15 billion in the medium term for public-private partnership (PPP) projects which provide new opportunities for improving public infrastructure, and the first tenders for partners in a first round of projects, worth HRK 748 million in total, might be called already next month, a PPP workshop in Zagreb heard on Wednesday.

The chair of the steering board of the Center for Monitoring Business Activities in the Energy Sector and Investments (CEI), Dragan Marcinko, was speaking before over 100 representatives of schools, kindergartens, hospitals, companies and institutions from the Zagreb area.

The workshop was organised by the CEI, the Public-Private Partnership Agency, and Lider weekly.

This was the first PPP workshop aimed at informing the local community about PPP projects. They will also be held in Rijeka, Osijek and Split.
