The specialty of the camp is the holistic approach to the research of Colentum which will be carried out for the first time by a multidisciplinary, international team of experts. For the first time, they will do a systematic photogrammetric recognition of the remains of the ancient port using modern underwater robot technology.
The site will be divided into quadrants and the current state of affairs will be documented. The part of the camp on land will also be researched and the remains of a Roman villa will be preserved.
A panel will be held at which the value of the site will be presented to the public.
The international epigraphy school, taking place on September 2-9, brings together 20 students from Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Germany and Slovenia. Classes will be held in Croatian and German.
