The prices of plant products were down 1.1%, while the prices of livestock, fowl, and livestock products were up 3.6%.
Cereal prices were down 13.2%, while vegetable production costs jumped 32.4% from Q2 2011. Those of fruit went up 4.5%.
Milk production costs dropped 3.1%, while egg prices went up 1.4%.
The prices of goods and services for current use in agricultural production went up 3.7%.
In the second quarter of this year, farmers paid higher prices for fertiliser and energy as well. Fertiliser prices were 7.4% higher than in Q2 2011, while energy prices rose 12.4%.
