ZAGREB, July 24
(Hina) - The brush fires that have been raging near
the northern Adriatic resort towns of Crikvenica, Bribir and Selce
since Monday morning were mostly put under control on Tuesday morning
with the help of four firefighting planes, and the Adriatic highway in
that area has been reopened to traffic, the National Protection and
Rescue Directorate (DUZS) reported at 11 AM on Tuesday.
