The coalition agreement, officially the Agreement on Joint Political Goals, was signed by Dacic, Serbian Progressive Party president Aleksandar Vucic, United Regions of Serbia president Mladjan Dinkic, Party of United Pensioners of Serbia president Jovan Krkobabic, and United Serbia president Dragan Markovic.
The agreement comprises nine areas of joint political activity - state policy; economic and social policy; the rule of law; the fight against corruption and crime; state administration reform; professional running of public companies; decentralisation and regional development; health, education and sciences; and media freedom.
Speaking to the press after the signing, Dacic said the coalition partners would spend the days ahead to prepare all acts necessary for the continuation of parliament's inaugural session, which began on May 31.
Parliament has to elect a speaker, a deputy speaker and working bodies, after which it is expected to amend the law on the government and ministries, and elect the new government, said Dacic.
The inaugural session could resume on July 23, which would be immediately followed by a new session for the election of the new government, he added.
Speaking of the new government, Dacic said everyone in the coalition wanted it to be smaller, with 15 ministries, but this would be agreed in the days ahead.
