The European championship will take place in Zagreb and Mokrice on July 8-12 and draw about 300 players from 22 countries, reporters were told today.
Ostojic said Croatia's tourism urgently needed about 20 golf courses, which required legislative amendments, notably to the construction law so as to give golf courses the status of green areas and not construction land.
Ostojic said his and the Construction and Physical Ministry were working on the legislative amendments so that project realisation could be easier as of the autumn.
He underlined the need to step up the adoption of physical plans and solving of property rights relations.
He said the Tourism Ministry would support golf and be proactive by extending logistical and financial support to investors.
