Turkish Airlines withdrawing from partnership with BH Airlines

SARAJEVO, June 7 (Hina) - Turkish Airlines is pulling out of its partnership with Bosnia and Herzegovina's BH Airlines, in which it had a 49 per cent stake, and the government of Bosnia's Federation entity, which is the majority owner, has already begun negotiations with other foreign companies on possible cooperation, Federation Transport Minister Enver Bijedic has said.

"Turkish Airlines is leaving BH Airlines and this shouldn't be hidden," Oslobodjenje daily quoted him as saying in its Thursday issue.

Turkish Airlines has not officially announced its intention to pull out of the partnership with BH Airlines, but the three management board members in the latter appointed by the Turkish partner have resigned, which is seen as an indirect confirmation of that intention.

The Federation government has appointed an interim BH Airlines management board and Bijedic has said the intention is for the entity to retain the majority stake in the company.

BH Airlines has two ATR-72 planes intended for regional flights.
