Komarica met with Pusic in Zagreb on Friday, and he also had separate talks with the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds Management, Jaksa Puljiz, and the head of the Government Office for the Croats outside Croatia, Daria Krsticevic.
"He conveyed to them the great concern of the Holy See about the absence of political assistance to the expelled and displaced Croat Catholics who wish to return to their homes and their parishes," TABB said, adding that the Vatican officials had expressed hope that the Croatian government "will finally be able to support more effectively" the return of Croat refugees and displaced people to their prewar homes.
Komarica asked Pusic to try with the governments of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska to draw up joint aid programmes for the sustainable return of all interested Croat refugees and displaced persons.
Pusic expressed her understanding for the issues raised by Komarica and thanked him for everything he had done to ensure that the remaining small number of Croats did not leave the Banja Luka area. She promised to pass on to the relevant authorities a list of several hundred people wishing to return to the Banja Luka area so that they could be helped, according to the press release.
