He was speaking at a meeting with representatives of veterans of the Croatian Army's 4th Guards Brigade in Split, which he visited on the 21st anniversary of the brigade.
Matic invited them to submit in writing proposals for dealing with veterans' problems in order to find solutions and draw up the amendments to the law veterans' rights.
"The current law doesn't acknowledge the fact that some veterans, for example, have seven children," he said, adding that he would push for solving veterans' housing issues in a fair manner.
