ZAGREB, April 23
(Hina) - The Official Gazette (the "Narodne Novine"
in Croatian), the owner of the Vjesnik daily, reported on Monday that
it ceased trying to sell its stock in the daily and that the only
remaining solution would be to initiate the bankruptcy proceedings,
while the only bidder for the purchase of the paper, the London-based
Oak Investment Management Group, expressed huge regret at such a
decision of the paper's owner.
