It was reiterated that the EU was founded on common values and that goals could be achieved only through members' joint action, and said that the crisis should be used to strengthen joint action.
Participants also discussed the parliamentary supervision of the Common Foreign and Security Policy and the Common Security and Defence Policy, concluding that an inter-parliamentary conference would be formed and convene every six months.
On the fringes of the Warsaw conference, a Croatian delegation led by Deputy Parliament Speaker Josip Leko met with most parliamentary delegations of EU member and candidate countries, and they supported Croatia's EU accession.
The support was also extended in the conclusions of the conference in which the parliament speakers recommended to member countries' parliaments to complete the ratification of Croatia's Accession Treaty as soon as possible so that Croatia could join the EU in July 2013, as planned.
