Croatian military delegation meets with Kosovo president

PRISTINA, April 18 (Hina) - Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga met in Pristina on Tuesday with a high-level Croatian military delegation headed by the Armed Forces Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Drago Lovric, her office said in a statement.

Jahjaga praised the contribution of the Croatian troops serving in the NATO-led peace mission in Kosovo. She described relations between Kosovo and Croatia as very good and called for their enhancement, stressing that Croatia could help the Kosovo Security Force by sharing its experience from the NATO accession process.

Kosovo and Croatia are committed to building peace and security in the region, Jahjaga said.

Lovric said that the relations between the two countries could be enhanced through assistance Croatia could provide by training Kosovo's security forces and helping them reach their operational capacity.

The Croatian delegation arrived in Kosovo on Monday when they visited the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) and held talks with Security Minister Agim Ceku and the KSF Commander, Lt. Gen. Kadri Kastrati.
