The event has attracted 76 delegations from 51 countries.
Deputy Defence Minister Visnja Tafra and the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces for Planning and Resources, Lt. Gen. Slavko Baric, are attending at the invitation of Qatar's Armed Forces Chief of Staff and organisers of DIMDEX 2012.
The show features 164 exhibitors - manufacturers of warships, naval communications systems, search and rescue equipment, and so on. Croatia is represented by Croshield, Splendor Tekstil, DOK-ING and Sestan Bush.
The statement said that the exhibition was also important to Croatia because of its relations with the host country.
