The agreement is expected to be adopted by the HUS Council at its meeting scheduled for April 13 and 14, after which it would be signed by the union leaders.
The SSSH currently has about 110,000 members and the HUS about 45,000. With the creation of a single federation of over 150,000 workers in industries, trade, transport, restaurant trade, energy and agriculture, the real-sector workers would have a strong advocate representing their rights before the employers and the government, the two federations said.
