Kraljevica shipyard workers seek more information about bankruptcy proceedings

KRALJEVICA, March 23 (Hina) - The management and the trade union of the Kraljevica shipyard will ask the Economy Ministry to explain to them in detail how the bankruptcy proceedings will be conducted so they can duly inform all shipyard workers, CEO Zvonimir Novak told a press conference on Friday after a meeting of shipyard workers.

The government decided on Thursday that the state-owned shipyard was going into receivership. Novak said that today the workers were paid their overdue wages for February.

Trade union leader Nenad Miskulin said that the trade union disagreed with the government's decision, but added that they wanted to know what the workers' status would be during the bankruptcy proceedings and what would happen to them afterwards.

The Kraljevica shipyard has 460 workers.
