On the occasion of St. Joseph's name-day, which Croats in Serbia celebrate as one of their four national holidays, Pajtic opened a parish house whose renovation was financed by the Vojvodina government at the initiative of the Croatian minority.
The president of the Croatian National Council, Slaven Bacic, thanked the provincial government for the renovation, but said Vojvodina Croats had many problems, notably in education, information and preservation of the historical heritage.
Pajtic also met with the leaders of the DSHV, saying the DS, of which he is vice president, would run in the coming Serbian elections in coalition with it.
"Electoral cooperation with the political leadership of the Croatian minority is natural and logical for us in the DS, as we have always acknowledged and represented minorities' interests," he said.
