BERLIN, March 8
(Hina) - Croatia is still one of the rising stars in
Mediterranean and global tourism; it is good that its new government
has recognised tourism as an important branch of the economy and
assigned it a lower VAT rate, and the country's accession to the
European Union will bring great opportunities for the further
development of tourism, United Nations World Trade Organisation
(UNWTO) Secretary-General Taleb Rifai told Croatian reporters at the
international tourist fair ITB in Berlin on Thursday.
