(Hina) - The most positive move in the protection of
the human rights of sexual and gender minorities in 2011 was the
adoption of the new penal code, which is a step forward in the
prevention of hate crimes, while the most negative event was the
failure of state institutions to prevent violence at the first Split
Pride and punish those responsible in the government and the Interior
Ministry, the Kontra and Iskorak associations say in an annual report
on LGBT human rights in 2011.
