ZAGREB, Dec 3 (Hina) - Croatian President Tudjman met this evening
with the US Senator Paul D. Wellstone, who was accompanied by the
US Ambassador to Croatia Peter Galbraith, an information released
by the President's Office said.
The topics during this meeting included the results of the last
Peace Conference on the Former Yugoslavia in Geneva, and the recent
CSCE Conference in Rome. In reference to the situation in B-H,
Senator Wellston expressed the US general public's fear for the
destiny of the war endangered population and because of the coming
winter and the unforeseeable consequences it could cause. He also
stressed the substantial contribution President Tudjman personally
invested in that the humanitarian convoys reach those who are most
needy.
Talking about the situation in the occupied parts of Croatia,
which are currently under the UN protection (UNPAs), President
Tudjman reiterated that the Croatian policy is directed to the
political resolution and a peaceful reintegration of those areas
into the integral Constitutional, legal and economic system of the
Republic of Croatia.
