SPLIT, Dec 1 (Hina) - "In these tragic events two thirds of the Bosnian
archdiocese have been devastated," Bosnian Archbishop Msgr Vinko Puljic
said in Split on Wednesday.
Asked about the topic of last weekend's talks in Split with Herzeg-
Bosnian political leaders, Msgr Puljic replied: "We asked that everyone
should bear his own responsibility before the people and history."
Archbishop Puljic said that "the situation in Sarajevo is now very
tense and full of anxiety ," and that "people live in uncertainty not
knowing how to exercise their rights in the city, their rights as human
beings, their rights as Croats, their rights as Catholics, and their
rights as citizens."
Msgr Puljic announced establishment of the Bishops' Conference of
Bosnia-Herzegovina.
