BASKA VODA, Nov 22 (Hina) - The office of the Bosnian Franciscan
Province in Baska Voda, southern Croatia, on Monday received a
letter from the parish office in Kiseljak about the brutal murder
of the guardian of the Franciscan monastery in Fojnica, Nikica
Milicevic, and vicar Leon Migic, committed by Moslem forces on
November 13 this year.
The eyewitnesses, Franciscan priests Tomislav Trogrlic and
Tomislav Tomicic, said that one of the four armed and uniformed
men assaulted the guardian, asking him to hand over the firearms.
The guardian told him that the house had been searched two days
before and that there were no firearms inside. The man in uniform
said: "I'll kill you," and the guardian replied "Kill me then,"
after which he was sprayed with bullets. They were standing a
metre apart from each other.
Father Leon was wounded in the shooting and fell. The attacker
stepped over the dead guardian, kicked father Leon and ordered
him to stand up. Father Leon stood up and staggered to the door
of the refectory. The attacker approached him and put two bullets
in the back of his head. Other priests were forced into a room,
and the attackers escaped, said the eyewitnesses.
