VITEZ, Nov 18 (Hina) - The intensity of the Moslem offensive on the
Zepce battlefield decreased, reported a Hina correspondent from the
town of Vitez today. However, locations far from the first-line on
the Zepce battlefield were still exposed to severe artillery fire
of the enemy forces, according to the local command of the Croatian
Defence Council (HVO).
The very centre of Vitez was shelled on Wednesday evening. No
casualties were reported.
According to the Hina correspondent from that Central Bosnian
town, the expelled Croats from Travnik informed about persecution
and arrest of the Croats in that town. Over one thousand Croats had
not received humanitarian aid since last June, although relief aid
was regularly delivered to the Moslem residents of Travnik. It was
also reported that the Jesuit Grove of the famous seminary had been
destroyed whereas 110-year-old trees lining a walk cut down. The
Jesuit Grove was the well-known symbol of the Croatian heritage in
that Bosnian town.
