MOSTAR, Nov 9 (HBNA/Hina) - Advisor for Foreign Affairs and Head of the
Committee for Human Rights and Humanitarian Issues of the Croatian Republic
of Herzeg-Bosnia Vladislav Pogarcic forwarded a letter to UN Secretary
General Boutros Boutros Ghali, peace mediators Lord Owen and Thorvald
Stoltenberg, and American Ambassador to Croatia Peter Galbraith, reported
Herzeg-Bosnia's News Agency (HBNA) on Monday. The letter warns about very
difficult position of the Croat population in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Pogarcic said in the letter that according to information by EC Monitors
some civilians in Vares could be already killed by Muslim forces. The
letter further said that the Croat enclaves of Novi Travnik, Vitez,
Busovaca, Kresevo-Kiseljak and Zepce have been exposed to fierce Muslim
attacks and that 150,000 people there are facing expelling. The letter also
warned about difficult position of Croats in Sarajevo.
Pogarcic said that Herzeg-Bosnia's authorities will support every
initiative for the peaceful solution of the problem and he requested for
immediate mediation in order to hinder the tragedy.
