ZADAR, Nov 6 (Hina) - Artillery attacks of the Serb aggressors on
the Zadar battlefield (northern Dalmatia) lasted from 16:30 to 23
hours Friday, reported the local Croatian Army command. The
locations of Kasic, Paljuv and Zemunik Donji were exposed to
severe cannon fire, whereas the location of Bila Vlaka, east of
Benkovac, came under anti-aircraft machine-gun fire yesterday. A
lull ensued on the Zadar battlefield after these attacks, so that
this crisis area saw calm Saturday morning.
The village of Damjanici on the Sibenik battlefield (central
Dalmatia) was pounded by some 15 mortar rounds at about 19:00
hours Friday, said the same source. The Serb irregulars on that
battlefield opened anti-aircraft cannon fire at the village of
Sedranic yesterday afternoon. No enemy armed provocations were
registered on the Sibenik battlefields on Saturday morning.
The Sinj crisis area (central Dalmatia) also saw peaceful
Saturday morning, according to the same source.
