A GROUP OF 400 CROATS FROM VARES ARRIVE IN SOKOLAC

ZAGREB, Nov 5 (Hina) - According to a report issued by the High Commission of the United Nations for Reugees (UNHCR), only 400 displaced Croats from Vares (Central Bosnia) arrived in Sokolac (north-east of Sarajevo) this morning, fleeing the town because of the offensive of the Moslem forces on the Vares area. They are at the moment under the protection of the UNHCR. The UNHCR office in Zagreb also stated that from 500 to 800 Croats from Vares already came in the village of Brgule (south-east of Vares), which is under control of Bosnian Serbs. Representatives of the UNHCR in Sarajevo are trying to receive necessary authorizations from the Serb authorities on Pale to enter the village of Brgule and to take care of the displaced persons there. 10 tons of food and one thousand of blankets and mattressess respectively were delivered to the UNHCR warehouse in Sokolac yesterday.
