ZAGREB, Nov 5 (Hina) - According to a report issued by the High
Commission of the United Nations for Reugees (UNHCR), only 400
displaced Croats from Vares (Central Bosnia) arrived in Sokolac
(north-east of Sarajevo) this morning, fleeing the town because
of the offensive of the Moslem forces on the Vares area. They
are at the moment under the protection of the UNHCR.
The UNHCR office in Zagreb also stated that from 500 to 800
Croats from Vares already came in the village of Brgule
(south-east of Vares), which is under control of Bosnian Serbs.
Representatives of the UNHCR in Sarajevo are trying to receive
necessary authorizations from the Serb authorities on Pale to
enter the village of Brgule and to take care of the displaced
persons there.
10 tons of food and one thousand of blankets and mattressess
respectively were delivered to the UNHCR warehouse in Sokolac
yesterday.
