ZAGREB, Nov 2 (Hina) - The delegation of the Croatian Parliament,
headed by President Stjepan Mesic, is to leave for the talks in
Strasbourg with the Bureau of the Parliamentary Session, by
invitation of President of the Parliamentary Session of the
Council of Europe Migel Angel Martinez. They are to discuss some
open issues between the Republic of Croatia and the Council of
Europe, informed the Office of the Parliament Deputy-President.
The delegation will give explanations to some objections
forwarded to the Republic of Croatia, and to convince the most
senior persons at the Parliamentary Session, that Croatia has
fullfilled all democratic norms, and that it deserves to be
granted permanent membership in the Council of Europe.
