(Hina) - The Office of the Prosecutor of the
International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) has
called on the Appeals Chamber to turn down a motion by the defence
team for Croatian general Ante Gotovina to admit new evidence in the
appeals proceedings, saying that the evidence in question had either
been available at trial or would not change the verdict, the
Hague-based UN tribunal said on Friday.
