GOVERNMENT HONOURS FALLEN VUKOVAR CITIZENS BY MINUTE OF SILENCE

ZAGREB, Nov 16 (Hina) - "Vukovar is and will remain a symbol of the struggle for Croatian freedom," Prime Minister Nikica Valentic today told a Government session, recalling the fall of Vukovar in November three years ago. "The Croatian Government and the whole leadership have been working very hard for the past three years to enable the citizens of Vukovar and other refugees to return to their homes," Valentic said. "We have not succeeded yet, but every day we are getting nearer to a political solution," he said. He condemned the aggressors' intention to hold a session of their kangaroo parliament in Vukovar on the day of the occupation.
