ZAGREB, Oct 6 (Hina) - UNPROFOR spokesman Paul Risley today denied
allegations that 'blue helmets' were smuggling Serbs into a village
near Daruvar.
Responding to claims by Radio Daruvar and the Zagreb daily
VECERNJI LIST, Risley said in the Croatian capital that no Serbs
had been transported by UNPROFOR to Daruvar, UNPA Sector West.
Only three elderly Serbs had returned to the village
voluntarily out of the 300 villagers who had lived there before the
war, Risley said, quoting information from an UNPROFOR
investigation.
"UNPROFOR has nothing to do with their return," Risley said.
