ZAGREB, Oct 6 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament's House of
Representatives adopted this afternoon the law on cheque forbidding
physical and legal persons to issue cash vouchers without the
approval of the Croatian National Bank's governor.
By that law, companies will be not allowed to pay their
employees a part of their wages in cash vouchers.
The House also adopted amendments to the law on electric power
industry, which are the frame of a progressive privatization and
restructuring the Croatian electric power industry.
By a majority of votes, the House adopted amendments to the
maritime code under which ports are included in maritime property.
Seventeen representatives (members of the Croatian Social-
Liberal Party, the Social Democratic Party, the Croatian
Independent Democrats and the Istrian Democratic Assembly) proposed
that the House should cast a vote of confidence in Ivica Mudrinic,
the Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Communications.
The proposal was put on the session's agenda.
