ZAGREB, Oct 5 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament's House of
Representatives this afternoon decided to postpone a debate on
apartment evictions until the next session.
The House obliged the Government to prepare a full report on
the administrative and legal aspects of apartment evictions.
Vlado Gotovac of the Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS)
proposed a moratorium on evictions until Parliament debated the
matter.
Deputy speaker Vladimir Seks of the ruling Croatian Democratic
Union (HDZ) opposed this motion, saying it entered an area which
was contrary to yesterday's agreement of the clubs of
representatives.
Ljubormir Antic of the HSLS said it was necessary that
Parliament also debated the human rights situation in all of
Croatia, including its occupied territories.
The House continued a debate on a draft declaration regarding
a Slovene Parliament decision on annexing four villages in the
Croatian part of Istra peninsula.
