PULA, Sep 3 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Foreign Minister Ivo Sanader
addressed participants in the world seminar of Slavicists in Pula
last night. He informed them about the current Croatian foreign
policy.
Talking about the problem on the temporarily occupied Croatian
areas, Sanader said: "Croatia committed itself to a peaceful
solution of the problem. Croatia is against the war option, which
brings a peril and devastations, but it also cannot tolerate status
quo and the fact that 400,000 displaced persons and refugees cannot
return to their homes."
Sanader said that Croatia's main goal was to become a full
member of the Council of Europe and the European Union.
Sanader also talked about the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina,
stressing that the Bosnian problem and the problem on Croatian
occupied areas should be solved at the same time.
