BOSNIAN CROATS ACCEPT CONTACT GROUP'S PEACE PLAN FOR B-H

MOSTAR, July 16 (Hina) - An emergence session of the Croatian Republic of Herceg-Bosna's Parliament commenced on Saturday morning in Mostar with only two items at the agenda; the discussion and acceptance of the five power "contact group" peace plan for Bosnia- Herzegovina, and the report on prevention of crime in Herzeg- Bosnia. This morning the president of the Federation of Bosnia- Herzegovina and the president of the Croatian Republic of Herceg- Bosna, Kresimir Zubak recommended the endorsement of the peace plan emphasizing that this plan was more serious than any other previous plans and stressing that "the U.S.A. is ready to dispatch 25,000 American soldiers to B-H for the implementation of the plan. Following this morning's discussion the deputies of the Herzeg-Bosnian parliament accepted the peace plan for Bosnia- Herzegovina, drawn up by the five-power "contact group". The participants in the Mostar emergence session also accepted a report of the president Kresimir Zubak on the peace plan for Bosnia. They imposed an obligation on Bosnian Croat deputies at the Constituent Assembly of the Federation of B-H to endorse the plan at the Assembly session due to be held on 18 July. The Herzeg-Bosnian Parliament supported the stance of the deputies from the Bosnian Posavina (northern Bosnia) toward the solutions to the Posavina corridor in the plan. They would require that it would not be allowed to establish a corridor (for linking Serb-held regions) across the Croatian villages and towns. The Croat representatives from the Bosnian Posavina pointed out that they could not accept setting up such a corridor that might divide the Posavina into two parts and separate it from the Federation. The deputies agreed to respect views of the representatives from the municipalities of Livno, Kupres and Ravno in the territorial disengagement which should be carried out there. The territorial corrections should be made in the interest of the Croatian population. At today's session President Zubak announced the visit of French, German and Greek Foreign Ministers, Alen Juppe and Klaus Kinkel and Karolias Papulias, together with the president of the B- H presidency, Alija Izetbegovic and state officials of the Republic of Croatia to Mostar on 23 July when the European Union 's administration of Mostar is to officially start. Zubak informed the Herzeg-Bosnian deputies of the only precondition for the official start of the EU administration of the city. The precondition is the complete demilitarization of Mostar that must be carried out by both the sides, the Bosnian Croats and Bosniacs, according to Zubak. In the continuation of the session the Herzeg-Bosnian deputies are to consider today afternoon the report on the prevention of crime in the regions under control of the HR HB. 161614 MET jul 94
