FRENCH AND ITALIAN AMBASSADORS LAY WREATHS NEAR PODRUTE

PODRUTE, July 15 (Hina) - On the occasion of the French National Holiday, French ambassador to Croatia Georges Marie Chenu laid a wreath at the spot of the death of five monitors of the European Community whose helicopter had been shot down by a Yugoslav army aircraft on 7 January 1992. Representatives of the Italian embassy in Zagreb led by ambassador Paolo Pensa also laid wreaths at the spot of the death of EC monitors, as well as a delegation of the ECMM and officials of the Varazdin County and the Novi Marof municipality. 151703 MET jul 94
