ZAGREB, July 8 (Hina) - UNHCR convoys have not transported any
humanitarian aid to the Croatian occupied areas and to Velika
Kladusa and Bihac (western Bosnia) since July 1, said UNHCR
spokesperson in Zagreb Alemka Lisinski on Friday. The UNHCR cannot
deliver humanitarian aid to those areas because Croatian displaced
persons, who protest against UNPROFOR's inefficacy, blocked U.N.
check-points.
The UNHCR tries every day to transport humanitarian aid either
to UNPAs or Velika Kladusa or Bihac. Nobody used force against
UNHCR convoys and personnel, but convoys had to return to their
starting points because of the blockade, said Lisinski.
Since displaced persons have blocked U.N. check-points, only a
group of 100 refugees from an occupied area in Sector West crossed
to the free territory of Croatia.
