SARAJEVO, July 7 (Hina) - The western Bosnian town of Bihac was
rocked by strong detonations early Thursday morning.
Sarajevo media quoted a report by the Bosnian Army Fifth Corps
as saying that the detonations were caused by Moslem commandos
loyal to local leader Fikret Abdic who had planted explosive
devices under several vital facilities in the town overnight. The
report said that a local radio and television station was among the
buildings which suffered damage.
Following the explosions street fighting erupted, leaving a
number of casualties on both sides. Military sources in Sarajevo
said that two Bosnian Army soldiers had been killed and several had
been wounded. The fighting subsided in the afternoon.
