ZAGREB, July 7 (Hina) - Within the panel "Woman, War, Torture" in
the cultural centre of The Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina in the
Croatian capital of Zagreb a film "Cry" was shown last evening. The
documentary film of Ms. Shehida Bilalli, is testimony about rapes
and abuses over women and girls committed by Serb forces during
their aggression against Bosnia-Herzegovina.
After the presentation of the film the president of the
Croatian Victimological Society, Dr. Zvonimir Separovic, stressed
that Serb mass killings, abuses and rapes were the flagrant case of
war crime and part of Serb policy of genocide. He expressed hopes
that indictments against war criminals might be soon brought.
However, Z. Separovic warned that much confidence should not be put
in the work of the International Tribunal for War Crimes in Haag.
President of the Islamic Community in Slovenia and Croatia,
Sefko Omerbasic, marked those crimes as the killing of human
being's soul, and pointed out that the problem of raped women
should be treated as much painlessly as possible for victims.
Psychiatrist Muradif Kulenovic said that crimes of rape were
acts aimed at humiliation of the Moslem people by Serbs. In this
way Serb aggressors showed their attitude toward the Moslem people,
according to Dr. Muradif Kulenovic. He also warned that a lot of
men had been sexually abused in a brutal manner during the Serb
aggression against Bosnia-Herzegovina.
