PRESIDENT TUDJMAN'S VISIT TO SIROKI BRIJEG

ZAGREB, June 15 (Hina) - After the visit to central Bosnia, President Tudjman arrived in Siroki Brijeg (Herzegovina) on Tuesday evening. According to Croatian radio, President Tudjman was invited to a working dinner with the representatives of Herzeg-Bosnian civilian and military authorities. Speaking of the implementation of the Washington Agreements, President Tudjman stressed the importance of introducing the rule of law and order as "all that is against the law and order tarnishes Herzegovina's reputation, outrages the sense of morality and goes against all the principles of defence embraced by the Croats." President Tudjman urged the Herzeg-Bosnian authorities to spare no effort to curb down crime, war profiteering and any other activities that could damage the reputation of Herzegovina which, he stressed, made a great contribution to the establishment and defence of the Republic of Croatia. "Do not let the face of Freedom be besmirched," said President Tudjman, adding that all that occurred in Herzegovina was laid at Croatia's and his own door. President Tudjman also called on the Herzeg-Bosnian representatives to be consistent and energetic in the implementation of the Washington Agreement, the Constitution of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the confederation with Croatia, whereby the full sovereignty of the Croatian people in Bosnia-Herzegovina would be achieved for the first time in history. President Tudjman left Siroki Brijeg for Citluk, Mostar and Capljina on Wednesday morning. 151156 MET jun 94
