ZAGREB, June 14 (Hina) - A delegation of the CSCE parliamentary
assembly, headed by president of the central committee for
political issues and security Frank Swaelen, met for talks with
deputy speaker of the Croatian Parliament Zarko Domljan, Deputy
Foreign Minister Ivo Sanader and several members of Parliament.
Swaelen told reporters that the aim of their visit was to
establish the facts about the situation in Croatia. He said that
the talks focused on the extension of the UNPROFOR mandate,
conditions of the Croatian government for its extension, the
situation in the UNPAs and the position of minorities in Croatia.
Swaelen said that the CSCE delegation were informed of the
situation in the Croatian Parliament.
Swaelen went on to say that the delegation was leaving for
Bosnia-Herzegovina tomorrow, and then for Belgrade and Pristina.
The CSCE delegation will submit a report on their observations
to the Parliamentary Assembly at a session due to take place in
Vienna in early July.
